Worship
We believe that worship is expansive across the whole christian life. Whether through personal devotion to prayer, the reading of scripture, the memorization of God’s Word, spiritual leadership in the home, or congregational singing, we should engage God in all of these ways often.
Our exercise of these acts of worship is especially profound when we gather together to do so. When we lift our voices together in the spirit, we lift one voice which testifies to our shared testimony of lives changed by Grace. Therefore, our music team strives diligently to create a space where profound, reverential, passionate worship can take place. It is our conviction that Truth is the most compelling thing about worship. Jesus tells the woman at the well, “God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” Furthermore, Jesus claims to be Truth Himself! For this reason, we believe that music for worship should be deeply informed by scripture; rich in Truth and musically compelling. And as we purpose to worship the Lord rightly we say together “Sir, we would see Jesus” (John 12:21).
